Once again, we've decorated Merengue for the holidays. This year we've added 12 volt LED Christmas lights which we've strung around the cockpit. It's quite pretty and festive when we're sitting on deck or when viewed from our neighbors boats.
We began our celebrating by attending a Christmas Concert at a church in Grenville. Valerie Daniel, an opera singer from Grenada puts on a concert every year. It was a mix of classical music and Christmas carols. As we sat in the church, looking out through the windows to the view of palm trees and ocean, I couldn't help but think how lucky we are to be doing what we're doing. This is a beautiful place. We have a very good life.

Merry Merry Christmas to you both! You were much missed yesterday, as usual. It seems as if our little family is growing smaller every year. But thank you so much for the chocolate bars. I'm looking forward to breaking off a piece once my poor belly finally digests the enormous amount of food I managed to scarf down over the past two days! True to tradition, Connie and Bill made far too much food and it has now become obligatory to eat "Jim dessert," with a two slice minimum. :) Ugh! And we all loved the photo of Bailey on the bow under the wreath. It seems as if she knows that her photo is being taken and then sent around the world for everyone to view! Anyways, I hope you had a wonderful, tropical holiday and that you too ate far too much. I miss you and love you both very very much.
