5 Years of cruising and living aboard Mérengue!
On September 2, 2006 we dropped the lines from our mooring on Lake Michigan and sailed away on our Caribbean adventure. Since then, we’ve traveled almost 9,000 miles! It was difficult to pull just a few images from the thousands of pictures we’ve taken so we merged both still photographs and video into a 25 minute video. Come on, that’s not too long! That's just 5 minutes per year! Due to the length, we had to load the video in 2 parts. So grab a drink, make yourself comfortable and turn up the sound! Enjoy!
Hope you enjoyed reminiscing with us.
Thank you to our family and friends who have been so supportive of our dream.
Thank you to Connie, Bill, Jill, Kyle, Angela, Muff, Reed, Marcia, Mike, Tim and Natalie for visiting us in the islands. Natalie wins the prize for visiting 3 times in 13 months! The prize is a bottle of rum but she has to come collect it in person!
Thank you to the cruising community, those people from all over the world who have become friends.
And thank you to the people of the Caribbean for their hospitality.
"Oh boy, dis is fun. Ha ha ha! Widing awound on a boat." Tweety Bird
Thank you for the walk in the cruising world once again. Congratulations, music and photos as usual were fantastic.

Beautiful! It was fun to once again see some of our favorite photos from the past couple of years. We are so happy for you that you have enjoyed this wonderful experience together. It must be time to start planning our next escape to visit you in the islands. We love you and miss you- Jill and Kyle xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteI loved it! My favorite photos were the pigs and the butterfly on the glass. The next 5 years will probably fly past like the last. Keep on having fun!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS JIM AND WENDY...Thanks for sharing your highlights. We did not realize you left only three short months on your voyage before us. And the amazing thing is we never met until Luperon 2007. We miss you and wish you all the best where ever the winds take you. Lynn and Randy S/V High States
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Best wishes from Toledo Ohio where we live vicariously through you aboard our own IP27 on the great lakes. Keep posting! Ron and Moriah.
